„722 artists from 70 nations are admitted to the xylographic print competition of the 22nd Grenchen Triennale!“
The registration period expired on April 30, 2021 – no further registrations will be accepted.
The 22nd Triennale Grenchen from September 10 – 26, 2021 in Grenchen (Switzerland) will show all 722 admitted works in a large exhibition for small formats in the centre of Grenchen. The visitor will get a unique comprehensive picture of the current contemporary work from all over the world in the field of xylographic printing. The idea of the competition came from the Argentine artist Kardo Kosta, who now lives in Switzerland and is also responsible for curating the exhibition.
The conditions of the competition were:
Artists* could submit one work each on the exhibition theme „Time without Time“ printed in the technique of xylography (letterpress) on any support in black and white.
Each artist can participate with one motif, in an edition of 4 copies. The submitted works will be offered for sale. On a voluntary basis, an additional copy can be sent as a donation for the collection of the archive of the Kunsthaus Grenchen.
