Scherer Yves

Yves Scherer, born 1987 in Solothurn, is a visual artist currently based in New York. He creates immersive environments that combine personal narratives with fan fiction to offer the viewer a romantic perspective on the self, relationships and the everyday.
The work on display here is a lenticular print which features a picture of himself and British activist and actor Emma Watson. The seemingly intimate connection between the two subjects, or fusion even, raises questions of gender, identity and the relationship between celebrity and audience in our time of mediated realities.
