Konstantinova Liudmila

Different artistic movements inspire Liudmila Konstantinova, ranging from Conceptualism to Suprematism. The ironical combination of high and low is evident in this work «Hole in the Hea», showing emptiness inside a woman’s head in the aesthetic tradition of Russian avant-garde. This black hole reminds us of the infinity of the cosmos. However, space covered with glitter, a common symbol of а bad taste, adds an ironic dimension to a phrase, that every person’s inner world is a universe.
